Feign Ignorance, Encourage Arrogance
There was a lookbook party. We satirized the pretentious pantlessness of lookbook. We also talked her in to posting her outfit on lookbook seriously.
As someone who is interested in both the video game and fashion industries I’ve found that they’re both remarkably similar. Both have large name persons who are both loved and hated, they’re regarded as innovators who can’t come up with something new. Indie designers are both celebrated for not being mainstream and hated for not being mainstream. Things are hyped up to the point of being disappointing. Even their calendars are the same. Fall is the big crescendo with everything gradually reducing down to stagnant beyond death in the summer.
It’s just amazingly fascinating that two industries that have zero to no overlap could be so similar. It’s the closest we’ll ever come to discovering parallel universes. And I would like full credit for discovering this fact.
